Our Specialist Groups continue to bring members together to share knowledge, discuss developments across jurisdictions and identify opportunities to collaborate.
Over recent weeks, both our Corporate Specialist Group and Private Client Services Specialist Group have held online meetings, with members joining from across the LEI network.
The Corporate Group discussed a range of practical issues affecting businesses operating internationally, including company formation and company secretarial requirements, ongoing corporate compliance and the increasing role of AI within corporate legal work. Members were able to compare approaches across different jurisdictions and share their own experiences.
September also saw the first meeting of our newly formed Private Client Services Specialist Group. The group brings together lawyers advising private clients across a broad range of areas and provides a forum for members to share knowledge and explore issues with an international dimension.
The first meeting focused on introductions, the scope and direction of the group and some of the topics members would like to explore together. It also included a presentation from La Tour International on a current private client issue, providing an opportunity for members to discuss how approaches differ between jurisdictions.
Further meetings and activity are planned across LEI’s Specialist Groups over the coming months, including Real Estate, IP & Technology and Employment.
The groups form an important part of LEI’s work, creating more opportunities for members to connect with colleagues in other jurisdictions, exchange expertise and develop stronger links across the network.
