The LEI Commercial Dispute Resolution (CDR) Specialist Group will meet in Leiden this November for two days of discussion, knowledge sharing and networking, hosted by LEI member firm TK.
Bringing together CDR lawyers from across the LEI network, the meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss some of the key issues currently affecting dispute resolution across different jurisdictions, share experiences and strengthen connections between member firms.
Event highlights
The programme will combine focused technical sessions with plenty of opportunity for discussion and networking.
Highlights will include:
- Mediation – a dedicated session with an external speaker, exploring current developments and approaches to mediation.
- AI and dispute resolution – a session led by a TK partner, followed by an open discussion on how AI is already affecting CDR practice and what this could mean for firms and clients.
- Cross-border discussion and knowledge sharing – an opportunity for members to exchange experiences, discuss developments within their jurisdictions and identify areas for greater collaboration.
- Networking in Leiden – informal opportunities throughout the two days to get to know colleagues from across the network and build stronger relationships between member firms.
More than just the meeting
The programme begins on Tuesday 17 November with welcome drinks at TK, followed by dinner in Leiden.
Following the main meeting programme on Wednesday 18 November, members will have the opportunity to explore Leiden with a walking tour and boat trip, before coming together for dinner that evening.
The event has been designed to give members a valuable mix of professional discussion and informal networking, with time to exchange ideas, develop relationships and explore opportunities to work more closely together across the LEI network.
